Zuo Hongyun, the vice president of Suzhou Democratic League and Enterprise Confederation, the deputy to the NPC Suzhou Xiangcheng, chairman of Burgeree New Tech Jiangsu Co.,Ltd., and a senior engineer, has been honored as an outstanding   entrepreneur in the national building materials industry, an outstanding CPPCC member in Xiangcheng District of Suzhou and awarded the prize of Scientific and Technological Progress in Suzhou.

      Founding Burgeree from nothing, Zuo keeps the original intention, actively contributes to the society, thus winning the Social Responsibility Award, the title of Advanced Enterprises in Poverty Alleviation and Disability Assistance, Tax Contribution Award, High-Quality Development Innovation Award for four consecutive years. Injecting $138,224 to establish the Burgeree Charity Fund, which was used to help the poor, Zuo was praised by both the government and the masses.

      After knowing the shortage of protective equipment in grassroots hospitals during COVID-19, Zuo spared no efforts to buy $16,586 worth of medical protective clothing, which was donated to the CDC and the Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the Xiangcheng District and Yangcheng Lake Resort Health Center, contributing to the safety protection of frontline health workers, and practicing the social responsibility of entrepreneurs with concrete actions. Zuo Hongyun also invested more than $2,764 to build specialized canopies at the testing site to protect frontline workers against wind and rain.

      In the summer of 2023, Zuo Hongyun learned that the Tiantang Town in Tianzhu Zangzu Autonomous County, Gansu Province, which was assisted by the Suzhou Municipal Committee of the Democratic League, needed some teaching equipment, and therefore donating $8,293 to purchase teaching materials and equipment for the local schools. What’s more, Zuo took a field trip for the educational aid activities in Tianzhu Zangzu Autonomous County, Gansu Province. “Every one of Chinese entrepreneurs should have a sense of social responsibility. As a member of the CPPCC Committee and the Democratic League in the Xiangcheng District, I should contribute my strength during this critical period of fighting against the epidemic.” Zuo said. He has been practicing social responsibility with concrete actions and manifesting his strength as a member of the China Democratic League.
